What is Emily up to now?
I am currently living in St. Louis MO teaching as much dance as possible! I teach ballet, tap, modern, jazz, and musical theatre dance classes to students ages two and a half to eighteen. I work at two different dance studios- DK Dance Productions in Florissant, MO and Arts in Motion School of Dance and Music in Brentwood, MO.
DK Dance Productions is a competition studio, and my tap group and solos performed well this competition season. We even won the Judges' Award of "Tap-tastic"!
At Arts in Motion, I have been working to add tap and musical theatre classes to their catalogue of available classes. These students don't go to competition, but some of our more dedicated dancers are a part of our Ensemble program that works like a real dance company working with different teachers as choreographers and performing for local nursing homes and other locations.
This summer (2023) I will be going back to my favorite theatre, Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan, IL, to perform in Escape to Margaritaville and 101 Dalmatians. I will be in the ensemble for Margaritaville, and Anita in 101 Dalmatians.
